Description

Prerequisite: SOC 101 or permission of instructor - This course is an introduction to the sociological perspective on the relationship between children and their immediate ?environment,? which includes both people and societal structures. The course will focus on several aspects of the child socialization process, following children from their early years through middle to late adolescence. Problems that occur within the socialization process and their implications will also be discussed through the examination of theoretical ideas and research results.
