Description
This course is designed to familiarize students with the basics of Biblical Hebrew, including vocabulary, syntax, the nominal system, and the verbal system. The goal of this course is to enable students to further explore readings in the Hebrew Bible either in the continuation of this course in the spring, or independently. The principles of Biblical Hebrew covered in this course will also give students a greater appreciaiton for linguistic elements in other Semitic languages.
