Description
Beginning in the 14th century recovery from the Flague, European society became reborn by discovering its own past. Along the way, a religious tradition became shattered, a new world was discovered, empires were established, wars were fought and a new way of thinking created. Topics include the Italian Renaissance, humanism, popular culture, absolutism, and the voyages of discovery. (Writing intensive). Open to all majors, no prerequisites, but HIS 101 is recommended.
