Description
The purpose of this course is to provide Elementary Education and Special Education majors an opportunity to apply the pedagogical knowledge they have gained in their fields of study in preparation for the Pearson Testing for North Carolina: Foundations of Reading and General Curriculum Tests. The course will be taught in a lab setting comprised of a variety of topics including Reading Development and Comprehension; Reading Assessment and Insturction; History and Social Science; Science and Technology; Numbers and Operations; Functions and Algebra; Geometry and Measurement; Statistics and Probability; and Analytical Writing. Students will apply these content strands to K-6 classroom instruction.
