Description

Students in the Public Health Practicum class will complete a 150-hour field experience at a public health related site/agency under the supervision of preceptor and an NCWU MPH program faculty member. The practicum course is designed to provide MPH students with the opportunity to integrate the knowledge and skills developed during their academic program in a structured, supervised, real-world professional setting in a public health related field, under the direction of a site supervisor. As part of this course, students will produce a minimum of two work products that align with the needs of the practicum site and meet the educational and/or professional goals of the student. Work products must demonstrate integration of at least three foundational public health knowledge competencies and at least two MPH and/or PA and Health core competencies.
