Description
This course is about the transformation of Europe from an improverished continent of kingdoms in 1815 to the planet's wealthiest, most powerful continent of democracies in 1914. Topics will include nationalism, industrialization, mass politics, feminism, women and popular Culture. (writing intensive) Prerequisite: Open to all majors, no pre-requisites, but HIS 102, 111 or 112 recommended.
