Description

This course provides a strategic, managerial, and cross-functional view of supply management. Student will understand the issues with acquiring goods and services from external providers to meet the needs of internal and external customers. Also this course will provide the student with an unmderstanding the basic transaction of simple buying or selling, to long-term strategic alliances between organizations. Concepts such as supply chain management and value stream analysis recognize that many interactions do not exist in isolation, but form part of a longer series of relationships beginning at the origin of primary ideas or materials, and ending with the satisfaction of the needs or wishes of the ultimate consumer.
