I have a Masters in Accounting from East Carolina University. In addition to accounting, I have a strong business background.  My primary business position was in the medical field. I was the Administrator of a private medical practice in Greenville, NC for 25+ years.  My husband is a semiretired General Contractor. I have helped him with the accounting and business aspects of his construction business for 37 years.  Additionally, I have run several other small businesses in years past. 

For the past 25+ years I was the Department Chair of Business Administration at Pitt Community College in Greenville, NC.  In addition to my administrative responsibilities, I taught in the areas of Accounting and Business.  I retired from this position on December 31, 2021.
